Ding Dong!

Ding dong merrily on high,
In heav'n the bells are ringing:
Ding dong! verily the sky
Is riv'n with angel singing
Gloria Hosanna in excelsis!
Gloria Hosanna in excelsis!

To follow on from yesterday, and inspired by work we did with a student today on shutter speed I bring you another cheery carol. Go on, have a look and see if you smile! A bit of history from Wikipedia makes it quite appropriate for those dancing folk:-

"The tune first appeared as a secular dance tune known under the title "Branle de l'Official"[1][2] in Orchésographie, a dance book written by the French cleric, composer and writer Jehan Tabourot (1519–1593). The lyrics are from English composer George Ratcliffe Woodward (1848–1934), and the carol was first published in 1924"

Not a good day for going out with our A level student, so flowing streams were replaced by swinging baubles but when I got home I saw the bells hanging up and fancied trying them. Just a bunch of six bells on ribbons, see extra.
