Face-time with Granny

A lovely family day. Went to Swanson to C’s home for mince pies, other snacks, and present exchange. Sad that COVID has meant no travel between Sydney and Auckland. Technology meant that we could talk to and see the Tsukens. We had an early midday dinner, and then a quiet afternoon.

I had a walk beside the nearby creek, and back along a street. A tui flew into a flax bush only to be chased away almost instantly by another tui, which the stayed while I sought the perfect photo. Didn’t get that, although the best is worthy of being an extra for today.
