THE THREE WISE WOMEN

Well maybe not so wise!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL - I DO SO HOPE YOU ALL HAD AS GOOD AND SAFE A CHRISTMAS AS POSSIBLE.

Aaargghhh - Blip just lost all my words - oh well never mind.

Had a lovely Christmas Day, hectic but lovely.  Went to pick Mum and Sis up early, after checking that Santa had been and had remembered they would be coming over here, and of course he did.

Then the joyous opening of the wonderful thoughtful Christmas gifts, with Christmas wrapping paper debris everywhere, all now put in the recycling bin.  Then dashing backwards and forwards.  I prepared the 3 starters, which sounds grand but was only  Beef  Consomme for Hubby and G, Prawn Cocktail for us ladies, then melon with raspberry coulis, followed by mango sorbet to cleanse the pallet.

Then followed Hubby's delightful Turkey and all (well most) of the trimmings.  No sprouts (yeah from me) because Tesco had run out, no Yorkshire Pudding because it would have been far too filling, and no stuffing 'cos Hubby forgot it!!!!!.  Aahh well that's what Christmas is all about at home right!!!.

Then followed Christmas Pudding for 3, and Bailey's Profiteroles for Sister and myself.  All washed down with a delightful Chardonnay (well Hubby and G had a small real ale from Cartmel (just up the road from us).

We then put on a Morecambe and Wise Christmas special from 1969.  Hilarious although the only sign of Christmas for that particular show was Nina (from Nina and Frederick) sat in front of a thrown up Christmas Tree singing with children in Christmas Jumpers!!!  I think mot of us fell asleep through some of it!!!

We then tackled the washing up.  Had a great chat and laugh.  Then  later on a very small light buffet was laid out for anyone wishing to partake before taking Mum and Sis home.

The traffic both ways was fairly busy but not bad with people doing the same as us.

I feel so blessed that we were able to have Christmas Day together we were so lucky and so aware of our luck.  We did miss not being able to see my Brother and his partner but other than that a great time was had by all.
