Fun in the snow

Just a dusting of snow over night but enough to make it fun to get out for a walk.

Having had really bad nights up to Christmas I’ve been taking advantage to good sleeps to get up a bit later since Christmas Day. Not wanting to delay getting out this morning, by making my usual porridge, we headed up through St Ives woods to The Ivy Kitchen for coffee and a bacon butty brunch. Had to stand as the picnic benches were covered with snow but still most enjoyable,

When you make your takeaway order you wait by a designated table until it is ready to collect. On my table today was this super little snowman, a definite blip! You can see his actual size in the top centre picture, about 4 inches. So cute.

The sun came out whilst we were eating so we continued our walk, chatting to K and S who had continued their walk after leaving the few BPW’s who had turned out for their usual
Tuesday walk. Nice to see them.
We walked round Coppice Pond and then up the ‘secret’ path through the trees to Lady Blantyre’s Rock.

Lovely to have a day without murky skies and rain. The sun got rid of a lot of the snow but there may be more tomorrow!?
