A lot of snow during the night which is slush lower down the hill. It’s dismal outside.

My marmalade turned out really well - the peel is soft, it all set and it’s a lovely clear colour too. However now I can’t bake as our on-line delivery did not bring the sugar I ordered and our local Co-op has had none for some days. Is everyone making marmalade? They can’t be hoarding can they?

I finished the jigsaw and it’s going back in the box for #2 daughter to try. I’m on the world jigsaw next.

Yes Prime Minister, we are on track - world-beating - at least with number of Covid deaths. Actually we are 7th highest, but now ahead of USA per million of population.

I know people who are sick now, though not in this area, and all due to Christmas socialising - despite all in their groups getting negative tests. I just don’t trust the tests. They thought they were being so sensible but if the tests aren’t reliable it’s pointless. And now there’s shortages of vaccines- what a surprise.

Someone at book group drew a frosty silence when she said the farmers were pleased as Brexit is going well - the price of lamb is high. And the seafood? Heading to rot outside Westminster.
