Bex in Cloudland

I couldn't wait for the night to be over!  Giddy with excitement, I headed on up to the moors again in snow that had transformed from the heavy blanket of yesterday's blizzard to a light and fluffy duvet cover.

I confess, at one point, I did groan at the weight of my winter boots until I realised I had a litre of water attached to each sole as snice. After hacking it off with a grin, I carried on my way, happy and light-footed.

The lack of people was an astonishing luxury.  The snow sparkled. There was no breeze.  And the cloud inversion was the icing on the cake.

I just kept walking.
