A view from Jeanneb

By Jeanneb53

Two seasons in one.

Well it’s definitely winter but the snow has gone for now.
A bit of brightness this lunchtime but generally a damp and gloomy day.

After a bit of community singing we went off to get a bit of shopping and collect a parcel from M&S. Waiting at the service counter I saw the egg display. Not unusual they are out immediately after Christmas if not before but apparently they have been around for 50 years! Shame I don’t like them.

Returning via Hawksworth we passed this decorated tree. It’s been there throughout the Christmas season and since and yes, the baubles are still there. I think this is one of the nicest decorated trees I’ve seen so thought it worth a blip even though it has gone beyond it’s season. I’ve noticed a number of decorations have been left up this year, maybe to try and cheer us along.
We went via Baildon and came back via Keighley having initially forgotten that the ‘twines’ (the road from the village into Bingley) was closed. That’s going to be a real pain for the next 5 weeks.

Now we await storm Christoph. We are in the centre of the amber warning area for floods due to heavy rain from the storm over the next two to three days!
My heart goes out to those in areas that are prone to flooding, I hope you stay safe and dry.

Roll on Easter and some Spring weather.
