Promise of things to come

Not the best night, neighbours had an intermittent problem with a car alarm...a least 3 times between 10.30 and 01.30.... resulted in a vehicle re-shuffle on their driveway, meaning their "search light!" was on for a good while, which "lights up" our bedroom :-/

We were awake from 8.30 had breakfast upstairs, then got ourselves motivated as the District Nurse was due late morning for hubs "other injection" for next 5 days. Hub has been good again today.....daughter dropped our fresh produce off, together with lunch, which hub chose, chip shop fish chips and mushy peas!!! It was really good....he polished his off in no time, see extra, not that there is much to see lol! Hub did his 2/300 steps around the house earlier and we actually wrapped up, masked up and went out for a short walk after lunch, just to the bottom of the T junction from our drive, 3/400 steps probably. Hes been up and down stairs numerous times today too and even climbed onto the stool to fasten the lampshades back into the light fitting on the landing. I got them off to wash them, but couldnt get them back on :-/ I also took down the loft hatch to clean it, but couldnt quite reach to get it back up, had to get the ladders from the garage in the end!!

Todays shot is a quick garden blip, after our walk, this is our deep purple rhoddi......the buds are already filling out......bit like me lol :-(
Won't be too long before things start to spring forth :-)

Mid afternoon I went on line to do some admin stuff, including on line bank payments.
Seems my new card would not work as I hadn't used it in a "chip n pin" machine which activates it.....only one thing for it, a quick drive to Costa, used said card, back home, we enjoyed our coffees, then back upstairs to make the payments! Still wouldnt work, seems the new cards are not compatible with the older card readers :-/ A new reader being sent out to me!

A light tea this evening, just cheese on toast and an ecclescake!! My diet is out the window!
Hubs holding his weight, not lost anymore during his chemo cycles, same cant be said for me!

Hubs currently "on a roll' with the jigsaw, so he says, might join him shortly..... looks, like we Re in for a cold weekend, maybe a bit of snow too!

Stay safe everyone, still a way to go, but we are edgng closer, slowly but surely!
