A storybook walk in the woods

Friday
Another lovely sunny day, though cooler than yesterday, and still with quite a sharp wind. Roger had an errand to run this morning, and picked up a few groceries on the way back, while I stayed home and did some knitting and odds and ends. After lunch we went walking a bit more locally today, in Symmes Township, starting in Symmes Park, then walking through Home of the Brave Park to Meade Park. The pictures in my collage were all taken in Meade Park, which features an old log cabin and a story walk. Not all the boards were in use for the story, “Tracks in the snow”, so there were a couple of general quotes in the remaining boards, one by Kahil Gibran in the lower centre, and another by Jack Hanna,

“The most important thing is to preserve the world we live in. Unless people understand and learn about our world, habitats and animals, they won’t understand that if we don’t protect these habitats, we’ll eventually destroy ourselves.”
