Almond grove

Our area in Adelaide used to be covered with almond groves until the 1930s and 40s. Once the post war population started to grow the groves were replaced by homes. There are remnant stands of old trees in backyards and parks in a ring around Adelaide. This grove is along a bike way that I use regularly. When the trees are in bloom during late winter (winter is very mild here) the colour and perfume are intoxicating. Hopefully I’ll still be blipping long enough to show you some in July.
