Thrunton Crag

A drive to Alnwick with MrM this morning, the first trip out in the van for over 5 weeks, and it was good to escape the immediate vicinity of  Wooler if only for a short while. Not a joy trip or anything exciting - we finally went to have the damage to the back of the vehicle assessed for the 'other party's' insurance company. Apparently the entire back panel needs replacing, so I'm extremely glad that we're not paying!

The once-regular 19-mile journey seemed like an expedition, made even more exciting by sheet ice on non-gritted minor roads! MrM drove us back via a view point, thinking that I may be able to take some scenic photos of the snow-covered Cheviot. But, unfortunately, the weather has reverted back to grey, and the higher hills were under a blanket of cloud. So here's Thrunton Crag with a slight dusting of snow!

Our second meal from the box this evening, vegetarian shepherds pie, which was extremely tasty. Another hit!
