Walking companion

After zooming with choir I’d hoped to get out for a walk, but my supermarket delivery which was supposed to arrive between 10 and 11 didn’t turn up until 1pm.  Rang friend P and asked if she still wanted a walk after I had got all the frozen items away.  She did, so I walked down to the village to meet her.  She decided we should walk around Goit Stock, but start by going up the hill, so I got to do the hill twice.  Never mind, all good exercise.  Her dog Milo relished the new route and scents as he hasn’t been that way for a long time.  P was glad to get out with someone else as she has only walked alone since March last year!  Quite a few people en route taking advantage of the fine weather, including R our rector and his bonkers spaniel Penny.  Lovely to be out after yesterday’s miserable weather, and P enjoyed having someone to talk to.  Think we’ll be doing it again next week if the weather allows.  Good to see the new bakery and cafe in the village has its signage up ready for hopefully opening on a takeaway basis next week.
