17 Hours & Still Snowing

It started with freezing rain last night about 6:30, changed to snow about 7:00 pm and hasn't stopped yet. The weather app says it should taper off by about 7 or 8 tonight, so we'll see. Even though it's still snowing, our next door neighbor cleared his driveway, and then did the sidewalks in front of our house as well as our neighbors on our other side. It's really nice to see, as before Tom got sick he always did the walks in front of everyone's houses with our snow blower, so Donny's returning the favor. Good Karma. As much as I'd love to go outside to take some photos I haven't left the house because most of the neighborhood sidewalks aren't shoveled yet; people generally won't do it until the snow has stopped falling because you'd just end up doing it again. We've got a three foot high drift in the middle of our driveway and the plow came through to clear the snow from the streets so the end of the driveway has about two feet of snow blocking it so I don't want to take the car out either. Our snow removal guy will come and clear the driveway, but not until the snow stops, so all of the collage photos were taken from my front window. The squirrels have been out running around, so I knew before I looked at the thermometer that it was above freezing. (it's 34F; 1.1C) The two bottom shots are of our neighbor across the street who had to shovel a path to the garage so he could get the snow blower out. Everything looks so beautiful covered with the clean white snow, & what a perfect way to end January!  :)
