Puddle Ducks

4 C, wet and foggy was the start of my day. No mountains to be seen this morning through the bleary sky. 

I decided to visit the puddle ducks at Schubert Drive Lookout this morning. I get views of the North Thompson River and, in decent weather, Mt. Paul and Mt. Peter. Not today! 

The Mallards have a tour of duty through this little park and down to the river. I don't know why the puddles are so attractive to them. They swish through them with their beaks as though there's food there to be had.
