Mistle Thrush

I had fully expected to put up a blip of our snow-covered garden but then this seldom seen bird arrived to sample our fallen apples. We left apples lying on the lawn after the grass was last cut and now they are soft and being enjoyed by pheasants, blackbirds and, today, the mistle thrush.

Today we heard of the death of centenarian and Covid-19 hero,  Captain Sir Thomas Moore, Captain Tom,. A gentleman who won the nation's hearts last year by walking in his garden and raising over £30 million for the NHS.

On this same day 20 years ago my dear auntie died. Where has the time gone? Sad events, happy times, births and deaths. What will the next 20 bring?
