Frosty

Brrr...it's really cold! It's going to be 27F/-3C tonight. We had a good frost this morning, and now that it's fairly light in the morning I ran out for a few shots in the garden. I love the way the frost highlights plants...this is a digitalis (Foxglove) which I thought was particularly lovely.

The forecast for snow is still on, although of course it could miss us entirely, or it could be freezing rain or just rain, but with very cold nighttime temps and daytime temps no higher than freezing, I imagine we'll have some sort of winter weather. Starting Wednesday night through Saturday night...currently forecast to snow 16" over those three days, and then a cold rain Sunday. So we'll see...it could be a mess, or it could be nothing! It doesn't snow often here so when it does, it shuts the city down since there is minimal snow removal equipment. At any rate, we've got all the supplies we need on hand, so will enjoy the beauty and novelty!
