Back to Gales and Rain

Gales have been blowing all day, brought rain too, this morning and heavy tonight.  Still really cold, but warm enough to start thawing the snow and ice. 

Up early, and a morning around the house, Sammy didn't even want out.  Popped by Madeline's to say hello at noon.  Met friend Julie for walkies at the beach, but most of the beach was gone, due to high tides, and high waves.  An early start in the shop, and a quiet shift, not many about with this weather.  Hopefully will stop raining, and get out with Sammy again.

Don't get me wrong, I do love a good gale, but after our recent weeks of fine snowy winter weather, this gales have not been welcomed!  Looks like a week of wind and rain coming.  After the beach, we headed up the hill, and blasted by more wind, and also the sea too.  Note the sea spray going up the cliff face.  Taken at the Sumburgh Head car park.
