Weighing up the first coat!

Marlane likes things to be neat, tidy and matching so the light blue weighing scales had to go!
She's not a great one for throwing things out though so the scales were dismantled, as much as possible without interfering with the mechanism, and sugar soaped to ensure grease and dirt free.
The first coat of Frenchic paint is what she describes as 'OMG', never looks good but successive, 2nd and 3rd if necessary, brings the colour up beautifully. A finishing coat gives it some robustness and a bit of a shine, but not too glossy.
We'll see what it looks like finished and remantled (is that the opposite of dismantled? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA).
