More garden time

A dull morning but a lovely, sunny afternoon.  I used the dull morning to edit and save a set of sculpture photos that are a bit overdue for sending into the ArtUK project. 
Then this afternoon I worked my way around various straggly clematis and honeysuckle plants against garden fences, all rather neglected in previous years. So today they've had a bit of a haircut and a tidy-up in the hopes that there will be more flowers and fewer tall, bare stems from now on. 
Today the PM's announcements are due about the 'road map' out of lockdown etc.  Road maps, oven-ready Brexit deals (remember that one?), etc etc blah blah blah.  I hope that the much-trailed caution and intention to 'go by the data, not the date' statements will hold, and that we won't go back around yet another loop of crowd-pleasing promises followed by spiking Covid numbers and more lockdowns.  We shall see...
