Keeping Time

A few years ago Una gifted me her rather neglected Amaryllis.   The first cycle of growth was without flowers, the second saw each bulb produce a single flower stem.    This time, the biggest bulb has two flowering stems and one of it's offset bulbs also has two flowering stems, three of which have reached their zenith at the same time.   As we prepare to head over to Norfolk for her funeral, it's a timely reminder of a life well lived that we can enjoy these flowers now.

A very disturbed night last night.   I retired to bed for a snooze this afternoon having been into work for three hours this morning while Jamie slept in.   Going in during the day, I actually got to see a few workmates which was nice.   The staff room redecoration almost complete now and I was useful for my tallness this morning as two of the others worked on a deep clean and quick refresh of the emulsion in a store room.

Hoping for an early and undisturbed night tonight.
