I have used this image for today's blip as it will remind me of this day, when, after a day of hard graft volunteering, I had a delightful hour walking the lanes around this ruinous farmhouse. Humphreston Hall Farm, near Albrighton. The hall is a grade ll listed 15th century moated manor, and concealed behind hedges and trees. But the farm buildings are on public view and in a state of profound and dangerous disrepair. This barn is in utter decay and hides behind decades of vines, creepers and brambles. It is hauntingly beautiful and I want to know more. But locals say the owners are not approachable and protect their privacy jealously. I will leave them alone but hope to do my own research to discover more about this place and listen to the voices from the past.
