Blue Farm Lane

Friday morning, I made another quick stop before work to watch the calves frolic in the fields of one of the University's farms. This is the lane to the farm where the calves cavorted in yesterday's picture (the calves are off to the right, outside the frame of this photo).

On this morning, a few of the adult cows joined in the dance and kicked up their heels as well! A bit of blue sky was starting to break among the clouds, and there was a blue cast to everything.

This is the same farm lane I've blipped twice before (September 20 and November 21), but this is its first time appearing here in color. This is also the first time I was actually facing the farm building itself; both times before, I was facing the other direction.

The tune to accompany this photo is a song about the troubles of the American farmer, Rain on the Scarecrow, by John Mellencamp.
