Wanderings & Witterings

Kilbean

A wee change of scenery for my walk on Wednesday.

I drove over to Lionthorn and had a wander around Lionthorn Community Woodland and Kilbean Wood, where there a few well-defined trails. Don't recall having been there before, although it's only a 20-minute drive away.

Some of the paths leading out of Kilbean Wood link up with other woodland areas in the Falkirk Council area. One such link path is called Easter Strip (there's also a Wester Strip nearby) and that's where today's Blip was taken.

The view shows Glen Farm in the foreground, with Glen Village and Hallglen, the River Forth and the Ochil Hills behind. Part of the Grangemouth Refinery complex can be seen at the right-hand side of the photo. A grey, blustery day and the cobwebs were well and truly blown away.
