Primroses at Dobbies

Nowhere near as mild today, nor gusty, but bright sunny intervals to gladden the heart.

We decided to take a trip to Dobbies garden centre out in the Leicestershire countryside. A massive display of Spring flowers including hellebores, primulas and these primroses. Len also bought some seed potatoes, I bought a magnificent hellebore and a fritillary. I thought the fritillary would be a marsh plant which I could put near the pond. It isn't. It needs a well-drained soil in a sunny position. Ah well.

An online talk with Fabrizio Gianni awaits this evening. Apparently he was a noted fashion photographer. The photos I have seen would confirm that.

Sausages, baked beans and broccoli for tea. Len is busy in the kitchen having missed a Zoom meet-up with his mates because he took Basil out for a walk.
