Sunset singer

Another decent nights sleep.....oxygen off at 4, not awake until 8, downstairs sorting breakfast just before 9......a phone call before we were up, which improved hubs frame of mind.

We got ourselves up and ready, downstairs, waiting for the next call, promised within the hour, its never come!! So frustrations remain.

We took ourselves out into the summerhouse on e the sun was on it, put the little heater on too. Hub sat reading his paper online, I took my book and camera out with me, didnt open the book, but did potter with my camera, a few more things starting to surface as Spring approaches.

We had our lunch in the summerhouse, just a corned beef and tomato sandwich. We pottered a little in the garden, did a bit of weeding and tidying......lots more needed though, the pond is in a sorry state :-/ Not sure Im going to get it into tip top shape before the frogs are "at it" ;-)

Youngest son and DiL called mid afternoon, as they had to go to olticians, which is local to us, so they called for a window chat and to drop hubs birthday goodies off in readiness for Tuesday. They also brought him a big box of old fashioned "sweeties" which made his day, things like shrimps, bananas, wine gums, midget gems, liquorice allsorts, Pontefract cakes etc etc. They stayed for a good 30/40 mins chatting outside, with the window cracked open just a touch so we could hear each other......lovely to see them.

After they had gone, we decided to go out for a little while as it was sunny again......a little trip to Costa. We sat in the car, chatting, in the sunshine....trying to pretend we were in Tenerife lol......the big B&M sign opposit us kinda ruined the illusion though :-/ but we really enjoyed the coffee and our hour out!

Back home just in time for the rugby and to grab this shot, a little feathered friend singing at the top of its voice as the sun was setting.
Im not sure what it is.........maybe a wren?! Anyone who knows, please tell me :-)

The less said about the rugby so far, the better, the players are half asleep, the referee has obviously got the hump re Brexit....well, according to hub anyhow ;-)

Ive not started dinner yet, but it will be stuffed chicken breast, wrapped in bacon, sauted potatoes and petit pois for hub, I have ratatouille and coucous to go with my chicken.

No doubt we will be watching The Voice later, other than that, who knows.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend so far, stay safe!
