Getting the bunting ready

This morning was the second of 4 zoom training sessions that I’m co leading on essential digital skills for learners in custody. All went well with some interesting ideas for incorporating digital skills into any subject area.

Pretty quiet after that apart from Susan having to sort out a last minute change of date for Doreen’s eye appointment at the hospital this week. She then disappeared into her studio to work on the bunting.

Cold again, with sunshine tempered by that wind. We walked through Vinters Valley Nature Reserve, stopping at a hide to watch various birds swooping in to feed until they were disturbed by dogs running around under the feeders.

The railway seems as if it might reopen on 22nd May which is good news. I’m helping the railway develop its education programme, with one of the initiatives being to create a nature trail from Tenterden station - one small part of big plans for engaging with visitors along the whole length of the line between Tenterden and Bodiam.
