Lightness in the darkness

The skies leaked all day. Not heavy rain, just the incessant spots and drizzle and dampness from featureless layer of cloud. Strange thing was that all the time you could see where the sun was, the layer was so thin.

Nevertheless, we walked into town for a few errands and as we were later than intended going in we had lunch while we were there as well as a very flavoursome coffee.

Town felt deserted and on its upper. So many empty shops including two M&S stores, some decorated with murals others like this one a colourful attempt at lifting the mood. Something much needed right now.

And so we walked home through the annoying rain spits to an afternoon of jobs. I cooked a chilli, made phone calls answered and write emails, went to the allotment.

Tonight we had a duet of ukulele and guitar playing and singing songs on the Uketok YouTube channel.
