Found a snack

Down to the Southend for a late morning walk with the camera. The Pentax gives much more support than does the Lumix. Nearly midday is not the best time to see birds, even if it’s a good time for exercise for me. I was heading back when I heard the distinctive in flight call of Poaka (pied stilts) and saw them flying in and after a fast circle they landed in the most recently covered by water part of the mudflats.
I was able to slowly get close enough for a few good photos, this one being my pick.
