More about the Gold Top

Back on the 27th Feb I Blipped a newly painted Gold Top to a post box in Argyll Street, here in Oban.

Although it was wet today I waterproofed up and walked down to the town. On the way back to Jacob's Ladder I passed the box again - today you can see the finished result. It commemorates Cressida Cowell, the childrens' author of dragon books of whom I'm afraid I'd never heard. She grew up partly, we're told, 'on a uninhabited island off the coast of Oban'. I Googled this, but apparently it was too small to have a name!!

Quote of the Day:

Evgeny Shvarts - “Let me tell you: the only way to get rid of dragons is to have one of your own.”
