Three men in a boat . . .

. . . to say nothing of the dog. Except in this case there was no dog. If anyone wonders what I'm talking about, there's a clue below!

A miserable day today, horribly wet after a windy night. I hate this weather - one of our neighbour's heavy plant troughs was blown off the wall and was lying on the verge. The stems of my potted snowdrops were all bashed about - after weeks of growing beautifully!

We eventually decided to do an up and down walk to buy a paper and a few minor things, and I thought this inflatable on the other side of the harbour worth a Blip. The three yellow-clad men seem to be inspecting the timbers of the harbour wall. It was a wee splash of colour in an otherwise gloomy scene.

This evening the photo clubs of Argyll are having a Zoom judging of the Frank Walton Trophy. This competition is an annual one between the 7 or 8 clubs in Argyll and is named after the original owner of the local photographic shop. I'm not a huge fan of Zoom, but these days it's an option when we can't meet. I had one already this afternoon and have another tomorrow afternoon - it does rather disrupt the house, rather like working from home!

Quote of the Day:

Jerome K. Jerome – “But who wants to be foretold the weather? It is bad enough when it comes, without our having the misery of knowing about it beforehand.”
