ELEPHANT EYES

This is Ruth...one of the Milwaukee County Zoo's three African Elephants. Brittany has been her long time stable mate and the two of them were recently joined by Belle. The three of them now enjoy a new headquarters exhibit 1.6 acres in size...much larger than the old exhibit. Plenty of room to move around.

EXTRA: The zoo keepers are always looking for ways to stimulate their charges and one of the things they do is "hide" special treats in unusual places for the elephants to find. Even inside a hollow log is no problem for Ruth. Her nose always finds the goodies.
