Through all kinds of weather!

"But we travel along, singin' our song, side by side!" We certainly did today! We took Daughter Two, who is in our Bubble, back to Edinburgh - she's been with us since before Christmas, but needed to get back. We left Oban in increasing rain, which turned to sleet as we drove eastwards and upwards, then to snow. By the time we reached Glen Lochy we were surrounded by a white landscape which is my Blip today. No, I didn't take the picture - Mrs M did! I hadn't expected snow lying on the road - who says that spring is on the way! The M9 into Edinburgh was extremely wet, with bright sunlight lighting up the huge clouds of spray, but by the time we reached Daughter Two's flat it had settled down to light rain. After lunch I had a quick wander round the nearby streets in the brilliant sunshine. There are quite a few foreign shops in this part of Edinburgh, but I loved the display outside this Halal shop - so colourful and with quite a range of  vegetables, some more familiar than others.

Coming home was slightly better, especially the home stretch, but it wasn't the sort of day I would have chosen for the trip!

Quote of the Day:

Dudley Warner - "Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it."
