Eating in Portugal

... is serious business, at least till you get to the coffee and liqueurs.

This is sopa seca, where loads of different meats are cooked together in broth with vegetables and bread, and then served separately. Love this lockdown tradition where we cook for each other alternate Sundays; one week we are inspired to clean and tidy, and create a menu, and the next, you get to go out and have a good meal with no effort at all. As Ermelinda said, you look forward all week to see what they will come up with. Hope we can keep it up afterwards.

Gratefuls:
- the three great kids who turned me into a Mum, plus the two equally great men who made me a Mum-in-Law, not to mention the woman who chose me herself for a godmother
- feeling well enough to walk to C&E's, and to drink wine again
- still no virus in Mourão, and hopes for restrictions easing after Holy Week
