White ruffles

We both slept well......woke a couple of times but not for too long, jean (that's oxy...jean lol) came off just before 7, the nasal bit having been in the wrong position most of the night according to hub :-/ Anyhow we had breakfast, then hub decided he wanted to shower, followed the same pattern as last time, worked just as well, not too difficult.

We were downstairs just after 10.30..... rather than hang around at home, we decided to go straight out for our elevenses.....roads were busy, as is always the case on a Friday. Costa was quiet though, we sat in the car chatting, no walk for me this morning as we only, had sn hour to spare before getting home for an earlyish lunch, as we needed to leave by 1.15 for hubs 2.30 appointment at hospital.

The traffic was similar to home, we got there in good time, usual procedure, drop off, park up, dash back, a wheelchair zoom up to radiotherapy for todays first experience with this dept. Oh my goodness, it was so busy, walk ins, beds being wheeled in by porters, ambulance staff wheeling patients in, wheelchairs being pushed.......we were told there would be a delay of 30/45 mins due to a backlog. It was an 1hr 20 mins wait, 3.50 when hub was called....but what can you do, but wait your turn, although some people who appeared to arrive after us were seen before us....hub was getting a little agitated by the time he went in. He was no more than 25/30 mins.....a doddle he said, took longer to line him up than to actually give him the treatment and he was very complimentary about the staff who took care of him, so thats all that matters at the end of the day. A 'rush hour' of sorts, drive home, back by 5.30pm.....I made sure hub was settled before dadhing off to get. y walk in before it got dark, as our delay had rather mucked up my plan to go for a long walk when we got home.....anyhow, I made the target, as you can see in extras :-) My total is creeping up xlowly but surely, ths k you to everyone whomhas kindly donated so far. When we got home we had a chat with our neighhbours who had just finished cleaning teir driveway post landscapers laying a lawn, which looks lovely. We pottered around our back garden briefly, going to have to get the lawnmower out very soon!! Our white camelia is looking rather magnificent, the blooms seem even bigger thsn usual!!! Im hoping the flowers will have a least a week of dry weather whilst we enjoy their snow whiteness, before the rain turns them all brown :-(

A late dinner this evening, hub had already decided he wanted another hot crusty baguete filled with my warm roast ham......I had seabass with a SW veggie biryani. It was ok, had about a third of it, the portions are massive!

Happy weekend everyone, take care, stay safe, another week closer to freedom :-)
