Morning walk on a glorious day!

We set off earlier than usual to drive a short distance to Middleton village, where we parked the car near the Green Man pub.
Looking forward to a time when it is once again opened for business.
We have had meals there with friends, either indoors or out in their garden which has lovely views towards the fields and trees.
On coming up the final stretch after completing our circular walk, which took us through fields then a wood, where the bluebells are always a beautiful sight, up to a lane, I spotted this Peacock butterfly on the celandines.
I waited for awhile taking shots every now and again, to try to capture one with its wings open. Stephen is used to me diving into hedges or stopping multiple times to simply take in the scenery.
It is such a beautiful day.
I am now going outside to sit at our patio table and read.
We have to take full advantage of these kind of days when they come along, those of us who are able at least.
Still behind with comments! I'll get there eventually.
Blackthorn in extras.
