Spring is sprung

The sun shone this morning in a glorious blue sky. E and I had a long walk, 2 and a half hours, round Mortonhall and then along Braid Hills Rd. The usual amazing views across the city and lots of nature: ladybirds, skylarks, robin, tits, tree sparrow, buzzards and flowering gorse. Much chat and 13500 steps. Being out on nature restores the soul but going further afield would be good.

It clouded over once I was home. A work call (just one) and then a shopping trip to Aldi, Sainsbury's and WH Smith. I've bought 2 paperbacks to read in bed. Desperate.

By the time I got home and unpacked it was almost time for Wine o' Clock, along one, nearly 2 and a half hours. Later started to watch 'Hope Gap,' but it was too close to real life. Bed beckoned.
