Bird Feeder

Just a diary entry today of my new bird feeder pole and 'squirrel proof' feeders - let's wait and see! Another cold and dull day, so a lovely long catch up Houseparty with a couple of my sisters this morning and then I watched the stadium version of Jesus Christ Superstar this afternoon on the Shows Must Go On.

Day 383 / Day 88 of Lockdown 3 / Day 27 of Step 1 of Roadmap Easing (for my record only)
UK deaths up 10 to 126,826 (revised basis), with 3,423 new cases, 3,536 patients in hospital, 517 on ventilation and 273 new admissions. 31.4m have now received their first dose of the vaccine and 5.2m have had their second dose, meaning c10% of adults are now fully vaccinated. Further to reports yesterday about 30 serious clotting events reported in the UK after the AZ jab, it was announced last night that 7 people had died, although again no details were given. No causal link to the jab has been identified yet, although this is an unusual no. for such a rare type of brain clot, albeit still very rare. I am surprised at how little we've been told to report adverse reactions to jabs to the MHRA via an online Yellow Card (if very severe, medical staff do it), or about the new guidance issued a few weeks ago re getting medical help for a headache lasting over 4 days after the jab or bruising beyond the site of injection. A large no. of people gathered at the waterfront in Cardiff last night in breach of coronavirus regulations and left behind an amazing amount of litter - what's the matter with people, do they want to go back into lockdown! This sounds normal now, but in years to come I'm sure we'll be astounded that Police shut down a Good Friday church service in London for breaching coronavirus rules and also threatened worshipers with a £200 fine each.
