At Last!

Here is young William dressed as Flash, a DC comics character who is  mates with Batman and Superman. He was very excited to see us and became very voluble. I'm amazed that he does exactly what his Mum tells him. Lovely chappie.

Although we have seen Will on WhatsApp calls and once, suitably distanced, since Christmas, it felt really strange for us all to be sitting round a table in the sunshine. I think I began to feel a bit depressed. Can't really say why.

Wasn't it lovely today? We decided to return home via Anstey and Swithland Wood so that Basil could have a run. The middle of Anstey was inexplicably blocked by police vans and a fire engine. We detoured via Newtown Linford and went straight back home.

The simnel cake was delicious.
