St Margaret's Church

This morning I cleaned the windows and doors out the back, then this afternoon I re-potted my tomato seedlings and took a car full of stones for disposal at Carl Birds in North Walsham. I took a brief turn off the coast road on the way home to take a photo of this church at Thorpe Market in the glorious sunshine.

“A delightful country version  of the early gothic revival.” – Sir John Betjeman 1964

Day 392 /  Day 1 of Step 2 of Roadmap Easing (for my record only)
UK deaths up 13 to 127,100 (revised basis), with 3,568 new cases (a big jump), 2,862 patients in hospital, 406 on ventilation and 221 new admissions. 32.2m have now received their first dose of the vaccine and 7.7m have had their second dose. Today non-essential shops opened in England, including hairdressers; self contained accommodation opened for single households; and pubs opened for outdoor service - all were reported to be very busy (busy roads in North Norfolk). The efficacy of China's coronavirus vaccines is low according to China's top disease control official. Yet another mess up for the NHS Covid app as an update has been blocked by Apple and Google on privacy grounds. If a person tests positive, the update would have allowed them to upload a list of all venues they'd checked into using a QR code - I must admit I thought that was the whole purpose of it! The NHS says that budesonide (2 puffs a day) can now be prescribed by GPs to treat Covid - it's an asthma drug which shows promise in trials and is thought would benefit over 50s.
