Grey day walk!

I've enjoyed being at home on my own today - trying to put right some of my print failures and starting a new idea based on a visit to the east coast near Staithes. I've found ideas and where I want to take printmaking quite a struggle recently (probably too much concentration on photography). I keep wondering if I'm in need of a time to make art that doesn't involve printmaking (the pressure to have something ready to print on a Thursday feels too great) but then I have a real dilemma as I'd miss the friendship of the group. By 3pm I'd taken it as far as I could so I decided on a walk despite the grey gloom and muddy fields. I had to engage in a bit of boot washing when I got back - they're in here drying by the fire now.

p.s. these catkins are not as far out as many I've seen recently - it must be extra cold on this field boundary.
