Woodpigeon ( Columba palumbus)

Following yesterday's cheeky pheasant I spotted another of our regular visitors using the feeding tray.  This time it wasn't for feeding.  It does feed there but at the time there was no food on the tray.  I can only assume it was waiting for there to be food in the tray.  It isn't short of perching opportunities and a metal tray with a raised edge can't be as comfortable as a tree branch, can it.

A busy day getting some jobs done round the garden while the weather holds.
