On the jetty

My tour guide duties for Grandad continued again today, this time we headed around from Charteris Bay to Port Levy, then over the 'rugged' Western Valley Rd to Little River.

After a brief lunch break at the Little River Store and Gallery, we did some more hill climbing up above Kinloch to where Bossu Rd meets Te Oka Bay Rd (for the views over Te Oka and Tumbledown Bays) and then doubled back to the Bossu/Gap Rd intersection for a truly magnificent view down over Lake Forsyth, Kaitorete spit and Lake Ellesmere to the Southern Alps beyond.

So whilst much of the day has been several hundred metres above sea level, todays blip features a structure only 3m above the brine - the Puari jetty at Port Levy.
