Vaccine, check. Tumbleweeds, check.

I managed to get my vaccine today, a process which took 25 minutes of my time and two days of mental preparation.

It all went very smoothly and, I have to say, painlessly. Shocking how a needle that long can enter your body and you hardly feel it.

But what was even more shocking was the scene. It was absolutely deserted. We are in the midst of a massive crisis here in Ontario, with hospitals beginning to decide who gets treatment and who doesn't. Or put another way, with doctors having to decide who lives and who dies.

And here I am in the middle of a vaccination site, alone. I mean, if there had been any fewer people, I would have had to inject myself. Where in the name of God is everyone?

The answer, of course, lies in the complete and utter ineptitude of Ontario's premier, Deadly Doug Ford, the man for whom no obstacle is surmountable.
