A Day In The Life

Chips, Anyone?

It was a warmer day but a bit chilly from the wind, perfect for working outside. The perennial bed was cleaned, some weed whacking was done and leaves that had collected in a few corners removed • MrsP found a couple of ticks after she came in the house, which is always concerning, because these aren’t the first. It looks to be a bad year, and although we’re always cautious, we need to be even more vigilant. There are currently five tick borne diseases in Maine. Five years ago I was diagnosed with babesiosis, one of the five and it was fairly new at the time. Thankfully I fully recovered with medication and have not experienced any residual effects. The newer strains are even worse • While resting on the patio we saw our first Yellow-Rumped Warbler of the season. My camera was in the house :( • Minus the ticks it’s been a grand day :)
