Photos of Margie

They didn't see a single puffin, but Margie says her trip to the coast was "Incredible." She went on, "We were right there by the waves, and the waves were coming in, coming in, coming in, with white caps and wind blowing off the tops of them, crashing and blowing. It was fabulous. I just wanted to get down and roll around in those waves!"

That is SO MARGIE. Always 100% into it, whatever she's doing. I think we all love that about her.

I asked her if she would bring me some pictures of herself from earlier in her life, and she brought me these, and a few others. She's the one on the far right in the group of four women in 1948 (she was then 22). And that's her in the center, when she was only maybe 65 (she worked till she was 80). And of course, that's her in the plaid suit at the top, hanging off a San Francisco Trolley. I scanned these, and I'm including the one from 1948 as an extra. She told me she didn't really like the one from 1948 because "Nobody in that one is still alive." But Margie, I insisted, YOU ARE!
