On the rocks

A walk on the shore of Morecambe Bay. A few miles further south  than our regular haunts. Seemed to be no waders on the shore but then I was saved by this Little Egret.

After the walk we went to a nearby garden centre for refreshment.

Before the Pandemic began many of our country walks would include coffee and, too often, a cake in a convenient coffee shop. In the past year we have saved a large amount of money my missing out these treats.

Today we sat in the open air under a large awning and enjoyed a mocha and scone withbutter and jam.
Whilst waiting to be served a strong squall came off the Bay. The temperature dropped 5 degrees and the heavens opened. It lasted for just ten minutes and then the sun returned.
I think I could get used to the coffee stop again now things are opening up.
