Balance

A butterfly balancing on a blade of grass. Marbled White, I think. A much shorter walk for me today; meanwhile, S yomped up Alaric with shears and secateurs to maintain "his" path, being rewarded with a fine view.

I made some pastry in preparation for weekend socialising, eggs Florentine for lunch, and am now nurturing a gloopy bowl of dough which I hope to transform into baguettes. Before we sat down for our evening apero, we did the twice-yearly furniture move, which in spring doesn't happen till we think we won't be lighting the wood burner again. Sofas now next to the windows.

Last night we watched Diva, a film that never gets old for me. I just adore it; this is probably the third or fourth viewing over the decades since it came out. Beautiful music, classy visual style, and Richard Bohringer has the coolest role (and car/s) ever. One of my all-time favourites.
