Midges galore

I had thought I'd spend time at one of the nearby hides watching birds this morning but instead, seeing my van was covered in these midges (and the local swallow gang were having a ball trying to catch them!) they became my focus.  I eventually set off on the longer drive to nearer to home somewhere around midday.  Managed to get as far as Marble Hill campsite just off the Lewis Pass - a very pleasant stopping spot.
