Happy Mother's Day

A day spent sorting and sifting through the recent holiday images.  Feeling a bit bozzy-eyed after all the screen time today so it was nice to venture out into the garden.  It's been stupidly mild 19 degrees today, nowhere near the frosts I had just days ago down in Twizel.  I'm sure it will break soon enough and I'm certainly not complaining.

It's Mother's Day in New Zealand, a day that is still hard to celebrate.  I did take these for mum though as I'm sure she's looking down on us all.  I thought they made quite a striking virtual boquet :).   She would have told me all the names - probably the Latin names too.  We often used to discuss flowers and plants, as well as the state of the world, global and local events, sports........all kinds of things.  I do miss our chats about everything and nothing.  So Happy Mother's Day to everyone who's a Mum of any sort to anyone or anything.  Treasure your time, treasure your chats and treasure the special relationship.
