They're here...

Something came out of the pond, hatched in the sunshine, and is now on the wing and hunting prey....

Strictly the damselfly that exited from this nymph carapace husk didn't "hatch" from it, but I hope you will allow me the poetic licence.  I can't help but feel that H R Giger, the artist behind the Alien design, spent some time looking at damselfly and dragonfly nymphs for inspiration.

Just the glossing left to do in the kitchen - hurrah!  The weather isn't great tomorrow so with a bit of luck I'll get it sorted tomorrow morning and can go back to my usual indolence!
